Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and my boots

Ive watched the movie and i love it! I liked the cinematography. This was better than the last one. I still shed a tear when Dumbledore died and feel sorry for him when he was drinking the potion. What happened to Draco, he doesnt look charming. The clothes they wore were up to date and really grown up.

I find the love triangle of Hermione, Ron and Lavander cute. In the credits i saw Cho Changs name but i dont recall seeing her in the film. However, they didnt expound on Snape being the Half blood Prince. Theoretically, they should have explained that Snape was born of a muggle father and a wizard mother ( read: mother's maiden name is PRINCE), that makes him the Half blood Prince.

I love the fact that Luna and Bellatrix were there. I am those two. Luna was so pretty in her costumes. What just bums me is that whenever they say a spell, its either too soft or fast. Oh, almost forget, i kinda miss seeing the snake head Voldemort.

I cant wait for the last installment. I am still a Harry Potter fan.

Im so bum i woke up and it was still raining. So my Plueys made their debut in the South. After almost 2 years of being stored in the closet waiting to be used again.

HBO Marathon

When the weather is not cooperating and your just so lazy to move my best solace would either be the TV, PC and a book. So far ive touch based on those three. After getting tired reading the subtitles of Boys over Flower i caught two movies in HBO.

First was Baby Mama, a movie about surrogate mother's, it was fun and light. The next was The Other Bolyn Girl. This one i liked the most. I didnt know that Anne Bolyn was the mother of Elizabeth I. Actually there was so many things i didnt know about that British era so i was really paying attention with the movie. I liked it. From start to finish. It just shows that a woman is as strong and cunning like a man but when it comes to authority ( read: Henry VIII) of course there is still gender discrepancy. Of course, since the King is the ruler then Patriarchal prevailed.

Nice way to spend the rest day.

Slumdog Millionare

Forgive me for i am totally clueless on what the movie is about. At first i thought it was Slamdog, like basketball, but when i saw the title i was like..ahhh Slum like Shanties....duh. All i know is that it was shot in India, hence having the impression its a Bollywood film. That one i got right.

What perked my curiosity is a caller asked my agent if she feels misrepresented by the movie, having to work in a call center. Plus it won the Oscar's.

Then as the movie started i realized it was about winning Who Wants To Be A Millionare.

It was interesting. Having to see to lowest of the low in India and injecting the call center industry.

The story has a simple storyline and would easily be recognize by the pinoys. Having said that, we live in a world where there is a parallel universe and someone somewhere is doing the same thing were doing now.

A bucket of popcorn....a movie review

What would you do if you have time to spare? Do a dvd marathon.

A story of a girl who was born with a snout. Very interesting because at this day and age, the snout cant be surgically removed, cause it would kill her. The only solution to have it grow back to a nose is if she would marry a blue blooded man and will show her unconditional love. Since it is a fairytale movie, she got the man she wanted in the end. How she had her nose back, you've got to watch it for yourself. All i can say is that acceptance of whatever form, can free you. Her clothes are a plus in this movie.

Ive been waiting to watch this for the longest time and im so glad to get a copy of Mamma Mia. Not just for the storyline, i wanted to listen to the songs too. The location was grand and the story is so amusing. Hanz was even singing along. Everybody can sing and the ending..it was a blast. Im such a fan of musicals. I remembered my mom the whole time i was watching it. Wish i could watch the broadway version of this with her. Soon, when she's not so busy and it will show in Manila.

This one is very special. I remember watching Caregiver on dvd and i realized, why not watch this as well. I remember this being shown a few weeks before the KC and Richard movie. I would settle for this, i wont watch the KC/Richard unless i have no choice, like being stuck in a bus showing that film. I believe in the acting prowess of this Sarah and John Lloyd and they were able to pull it off. Like any pinoy flick, poor girl in love with rich boy, this made it a little lighter and heartwarming. In its own way it was funny and realistic.

I like fishboy so much. That's the reason why i wanted to watch the film. His so classical and very intelligent. This time we look into the human side of the characters, from Hellboy to Fish and Liz. We can also be amused by the ectoplasma leader they have now. Its more of a mythical story fighting with a bad elf. Fish being in love to a princess. Hellboy 2 has the same director with the one who directed Pan's Labyrinth that's why there are so many animated character's that reminds me of the Muppet.

Now i understand why some people wouldn't appreciate Wall E. They dint have lines. Since they are robots, we make do of their actions on screen. I say action speaks louder than words. I really appreciated this film. Its about taking care of the planet and the effects of not being lifting a finger. hahahaha. In the future the Earth is just a huge dump site and the humans live in a cruise in outer space. Since there are limited things to do, everything is loaded in a computer. You just sit in your chair control it with a screen in front of you and you got it. Hence, making you obese with bone shrinkage. This is a love story of two robots and it feels good watching it and still having hope for the planet.

Chick Flick

To kill time i decided to watch DVD instead of sleeping again. I always have this weird sleeping pattern. When i get home from work, even if how tiring the day was i really cant sleep, so i bum at the pc until my eyes hurt and im bored to death. When i am in deep slumber, even if its 5 hours of sleep already i cant seem to wake up. It is always a challenge for me to rise up and keep going. You can imagine me like a zombie doing all the preparation for work and commuting until i reach Alabang. From Alabang ill ride the shuttle that would bring me to QC. When i arrive QC, i go straight ahead to the sleeping room and continue my sleep for 2 hours. Thats the safest and more convenient way to go to the office.

So now since its technically still my day off. I really am not yet used to my shift's off. I decided to watch the dvd's i borrowed from my mom.

I started it with 27 Dresses.

Katherine Heigl is such a plain Jane. It all started when as a child Jane realized her mission in life is to be the best bridesmaid in the world. Moving to the future she has 27 bridesmaid dress in her tiny closet that seems too full it cant be closed. The story reminds me of How To Lose a Guy in 10 days and Never been Kissed, those kinds of plot. So Jane gets her man after the betrayal of being in the front page of the NYJ in all her 27 dresses. All in all, feels good. She got her beach wedding and the man.

I was still up for another movie and chose, P.S. Iloveyou.

This movie pinched my heart in more ways than one. It was about love in the afterlife. If i were Holly, Hilary Swank, i would also like to be guided after the loss of her husband, Gerry, Gerard Butler of 300. Ill go nuts over anyones death. As if a part of me is removed forever and never go back. I like the part that Holly and Dan realized that there is no chemistry between them coz it will be too predictable if that would be the case.
For someone who is truly committed, you could somehow relate to the movie.

There are no accidents.

That holds true as there are no such thing as coincidence. I watched Kung Fu Panda with my brother, since my mom tricked us that she'll be watching it as well but last minute opted to watch SATC. I was like....huuwwaaatt!!!! I want to watch it too but looking at my brother's kawawa face, i succumb to it.

I like the movie, it was funny and very inspiring especially those who are young at heart.

The voices were great. I liked Master Oogway, the tortoise.

I miss hanging out with my mom and brother. We had fun. I almost snag a pair of jeans from my mom but i dont have size for the cut that i like, sayang!

At Southmall Starbucks while waiting for my Dark Mocha Frap.

I AM LEGEND

When you ask me what i did during my vacation leave, ill answer as proud as i can be, that i played with my little boy. Its such a wonderful feeling to be wrestled by the little one and whenever he wants to make lambing, he'll climb on me and sit on my lap. Saaarraapp!!! Mas masarap pa sa Coke! As if i drink it.

I also had the chance to watch I Am Legend. I thought it was a so-so film but in the end, aside from the frightening zombies, i liked it. I cant stop asking my friends their comments about it. As usual, some says they like it while others hated it.

I liked it. Love, loss, fear and hope. It was a good way to end my VL.

I want to share this to you too....

Let us be reminded.

Whenever i feel that the my world is changing i act a little loca. Of course, its not that easy for me to adjust quickly but i pick up the pieces and move on. I received another throw of lemons in my life and im trying my best to make it lemonades but as of the moment i havent cut them yet. But im holding on to the knife.

Ive been blogging about the book Who Moved My Cheese and everytime i write about it i feel myself stronger than ever. Of course. the sad part there is i need to be reminded about it.

What is a Cheese? It could be anything you value. Money, Work, Fame, Comfort. When its gone what would you do?

Pointers in the book:
1. Change happens, they keep moving the cheese.
2. Anticipate change. Smell the cheese often so you know when its getting old.
3. Adapt to change quickly the quicker you let go of old cheese the sooner you enjoy new cheese.
4. Enjoy change. Savor the adventure and enjoy the taste of new cheese.
5. Be ready to change quickly and enjoy it again, they keep moving the cheese.

With this book to remind me and constant prayers for strenght to do everything which you feel is impossible. Let's go and make lemonades!!!! Thank you God. With you nothing is impossible.

The rest im looking for is finally here but in a form of an unknown sickness. The result of the lab test is already at the the hospital but the doctor is not answering my call and the lab people aren't giving me the results over the phone.

What should a sick girl do at home? Eat champorado (yum!!). Watch the second season of Heroes and not talk about it coz it would be a big spoiler. Waaahhh. I want to share it to my friends, blog about it...but i cant. I want to watch Stardust and Across the Universe.

Hopefully, im feeling better by tomorrow. Hirap magkasakit. The headache is still there but the fever disappeared last night. My mom bought Cranberry juice, sarap.

I think ill catch some zzzz, i might miss the chance to have free sleep when i need it.

The thing about Heroes, basta...its so beautifully written and intriguingly crafted i just cant wait to share it to all. Nakakainis!!!!

Im watching PBB too, ilove it. My crush, Jon looks so A.I. on tv.

I am a fan so books turned movie and the other way around and i cant wait to watch this film. See for yourself.
Fabulous isnt it?

This is the 1st installment of 3 books. Its like a fairytale with a twist. Where humans have their own daemon's (animals in a form of their character)who could talk to them and reflects how they feel. Polar Bears who live by their armors and witches who doesnt eat kids.

The first half of the book was so slow. I felt im reading The Silmaril all over again(which i havent finished). Aside from my hubby's encouragement for me to get to the midddle it was not disappointing at all. I cant put the book down after. So December is just a few sleep away. Yey!!!

Last Friday i texted my mom and asked if she could drop me at Greenhills. She willingly agreed to the point of joining me and brought me to the office after. Yey!!
So what did i buy? A leather headband for 50pesos and a bangle (darna ala piƱa look), the bangle looks like it has too many eyes, for 150php. My mom tricked me to buy clothes for Roo, not that i dont want, but it was not part of the agenda. So i bought a red polo shirt, blue twill pants, blue shirt and a khaki shorts all Tommy Hilfiger,i dont even like the brand! for 850php. Not bad. I was so happy coz not all the time i get to spend time with my mom and i felt that she went out of her way to be with me, since she has work too.

My brother made his regular Saturday visit and we had dvd marathon. We watched Little Miss Sunshine.

and he was like, why do they keep on saying F_ _ K, i was like, sheesh i forgot to give the disclaimer that this movie is not for kids even id there is a kid in it. After that we watched the premier telecast of Eureka!, we liked it.

Sunday was spent visiting my mom and brother, Roo and I slept, Hanz set-up a pc for Rap since mine conked out. I called my Lolo and Lola at the province and asked how they were. My Lola told me to bite Roo's bumbum for her, so cute. Tap was singing Super Freak, which was the song the kid form Little Miss Sunshine performed to, nyay! Mommy and Roo had so much time bonding. Roo was so hyper and talkative, my mom was so kilig everytime Roo does something. She keeps on saying "Sa akin nya nakuha yan". As if! hehehe

I took a vacation leave for a day to look after Roo since the other lola is out of town. So Ninang May visited us and we went to the mall to buy milk. Thank heavens SM is just walking distance away. We strollered our way to the mall and back. Hmm, something to raise brows, since i bought milk and a hanger for my accessories, i told both bagger at the counter not to put it in a plastic bag, they were like...ah ok, are you sure? I was like, yeah..please dont, i can manage just give me the receipt, they were like, Duh. I was like, Ewan!

Being a mom and a daughter are two different feelings which are both blissful and rewarding. My mom now keeps on reminiscing of how i was when i was a kid, comparing me to my son. I feel the bond that we have is stronger than ever not because im a mother and i can relate to her but because she feels her baby girl is now a grown-up and is now responsible enough to take care not just for herself but for a little one as well. I admit its not that easy being a mom, the patience should be a mile long and the love really should be unconditional. The latter part is not hard at all, i just never thought i could be that kind of person. i love you God Almighty for giving me precious treaures...iloveyou Hanzy, iloveyou Roo, I love you mommy, iloveyou Rap...i love you World...

Im currently listening to Mika, ah love it too!!!

Rating: 3 out of 5

It was not a WOW movie for me. Personally because of all the hype, i raised my expectation too high and now im disappointed. I feel its to US political warfar drama and i really really want Bumblebee as a beetle. I dont care if they already used it for Herbie. It doesnt make it authentic. I like the cartoons better.

Rate: 4 out of 5 tickets

Okay, it was a huge effort on my part to watch Charlotte's Web. For starters i am Arachnophobic so this film, interesting as it is, is hard to watch especially when you try to cover your eyes at the same time peep while viewing it.

I love the plot and since this is originally a book written by E.B. White, also the author of Stuart Little, ill buy a copy of the book too. Ill read it too Roo as his bed time story. My friend Mac even commented, "pang audio book ka lang", since she knows my state with the creepy crawly. I love love this story and the miracle that comes with it. I love Charlotte and the kids, Wilbur and I see myself in Ike (you'll know when you watch the film). Nice soundtrack too. I wish another miracle would happen, that my fear of spiders would vanish.

Rating: 4 out of 5 bookmarks
Other Titles the Author wrote: Practical Magic and Here on Earth (both have movie versions too).

I started reading this book immediately after reading The Devil Wears Prada. Yeah late bloomer ako sa TDWP book phase. Anyway, this book is so descriptive you'll see yourself so engross with the characters. Its quite a long read. If you are a fan of fairy tales, this has a modern take on it. You will be drawn to its Magical and Mysterious heroines.

My brother is a Spiderman fan. I remember when he was 5 we would go to the mall and he would wear his Spidey costume with mask and all. He was so cute. He also sings the Spiderman song and my friends were like requesting him to sing it again and he'll do so with Spidey moves included.

I watched Spiderman 3 today with my hubby since brother wants to watch it with mom on sunday. I bought him an action figure instead.

The movie was nice both kids and adults would appreciate it. There are 3 parts i like about the film Fist is the part Spdrman tagged the (2nd) Green Goblin in the alley. Second, when S was dancing like John Travolta and the Last was the latter part of the film wherein he looked like JAKE GYLLANHALL. My hubby pointed that one out.

Watch it you'll like it.

Who would have thought an epic graphic novel turned movie could be so enticing. Move over Spiderman and Batman, the Spartans are in town. With those loin cloth and six pack i really dont mind the blood shedding and beheading part.

Yummy!!! There's this cute guy on the left of King Leonidas,Astinos who looks like the young Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted Bogus Journey. When Leonidas advised Dilios(aka Faramir, Lord of the Rings)to tell his story so that he wont be forgotten, i was like....ahhh i know you, youre the praline chocolate line. (Duh!)
