Have you experienced CYMA? The hubby and I did and it felt so good. Cyma opened a branch in ATC and tried it right away.

We tried their OPA! Appetizer. Its cheese on bread but the presentation was surprizing.

My order. Lambchops with Rice. These are two chops, i only finished one and had the other one to go. Succulent.

His order. Wagyu burger in Blue cheese.

And for dessert. The perfect Skolatina. Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice cream. Fab!

This is me after the meal. Busog.

Have you ever tried Zing!, the juice bar that has wheatgrass in their menu? I did. Ive tried tomato juice and all the other veggie juice there is and it tastes good. Funny part is since i was thinking that wheatgrass are healthy is that it taste yummy too. For my pregnant tastebud it taste like...uckkk.....i felt i was a goat drinking grass shake, which somehow is true.

Wheatgrass is equivalent to 1.5kg of vegetables, contains six and a half times more Carotene than spinach, seven times more vitamin C than orange, thirty times more vitamins than fresh milk, and eleven times more Calcium than fresh milk.

So okay, ill drink my veggie shake now. Maybe next time ill try another concoction.

ATC Tambay

Hanz and I had lunch at Pepper Lunch. Here is what i ordered. Chicken and Salmon Combo. The chicken was half cook but the fish, yummy!

Hanz got Beef Pepper Rice. Too much pepper for him but i like it coz the beef was so thin it reminded me of bacon.

This is what you see when you order. Everything is visually computed in front of you.

Overall experience, K lang. Price is kinda steep. Na miss ko tuloy ang Kimchi sa food court.

I was looking for this. Buti na lang we went to the Crocs side and saw the yogurt stall. Its more sour than the Nestle yogurt. Na miss ko rin tuloy yun.

Just want to share my all black attire. Im loving my shoes. Its plaid. hehehe

Food tripping

I was craving for cake and since we were at BF already i asked Hanz if he wants to eat in Conti's. We ordered my favorite Buffalo Wings which we finished off without taking a picture of it.

But we tried to increase our EQ by taking a picture of our desserts. We ordered two slices of cake, the other table just ordered 1 Mango Bravo and they shared it for 3 people. So that means we were so takaw that day.
Mango Bravo good for sharing.

French Apple Pie - our all time favorite. We actually ordered Ala Monde but they forgot to put the Vanilla Ice cream on top but it didnt disappoint.

The following day we went to Divisoria and tried to change our route. Normally we ride Tas Trans up to Lawton but since we came from Alabang we decided to try the Lawton buses in Metropolis. We got hungry before boarding the bus so we decided to eat inside Metropolis.

There we saw Sisig Hooray!
I dont think i want to do his job. I was just standing near him and my eyes were watery already. I think it should be better for them to use a food grater and just put the onions in and let the onion cutter do something else.

The ingredients: Onion, Brown thingie, Soy Sauce, Mayo,Green Pepper,Calamansi and Chicharon. They combine all of it then Microwave it.

The finish product. This is the Barkada Platter which only cost 135php. Good for ulam and pulutan.

Pagkaing Pinoy

Hanz and I ate at Kanin Club and we ordered their famous Crispy Dinuguan. Its a good thing Hanz likes it, he was skeptical at first. Try it.

Crispy Dinuguan. I think the meat they used was Bagnet. Dont be deceived by the look of it. This is good for 3 persons.

The order. With Lumpia and two kinds of rice.

This was our order when we ate at Manong's. I ordered my favorite Pusit ala Pobre which is not in the picture. We tried their Chicharong Bulaklak, temptation to its yummiest.

No Reservations: The Philippines

I wouldnt pass the chance to watch Anthony Bourdain's visit in the Philippines but i did. So i really was praying for someone to post it in Youtube and my prayer was answered.

I am currently watching it and i am so proud of Ivan and Claude who knows Manila and Pampanga respectively to give the trivial rundown of its food and culture.

Augusto, who won the fan choice award, toured Tony to Cebu. Listening to his plight of identity crisis, lead me to believe that we as a Filipino would intensely embrace the culture the colonizers had and make it our own. Making us a melting pot of sort, thus in a way would make us lose our identity.

It was amuzing to see Tony savor Lechon Cebu...owww how i love the Lechon from the South. As what Tony said: Best pig ever!!!

I am so proud of my country. The sight, the sound, the food...the people....

Turning Japanese, i really think so.

Hanz and I love to try different kinds of Japanese restaurant and find the difference among them.

For his birthday we tried, Sakae Sushi in MOA. This resto is so cute coz you get to pick the sushi from the conveyor belt. Sushi's are being classified per plate color, Yellow- Pink-Green- Red. Since red is the most exotic sushi, its the least item they produce.
Sushi on the conveyor. Ready for pick-up.
The number of plates we finished. They look like slingkies.
The price.

Next off, Misato in Madrigal, Alabang
Out of curiousity and somehow with the resto's snub image we tried our tastebuds and sacrificed our pockets with this resto.

The ambiance is good, but do we really need that? The place would soon became pack with lunch goers and we cant wait to dig in to our meal.
We were served dilis first, i was wondering if the pacing is slow for food delivery.
We ordered Kani Salad. This has less QP (jap mayo) so bitin.
I was wondering if they have Jurassic Maki but since they dont have, i just ordered California maki instead.
Our order is so Teriyaki boy. This part of the meal was so flavourful i just cant wait to eat rice with it.

Overall, its just overrated. Its expensive and taste like Teriyaki boy, by the way i love TB. This made me love Omakase more.

Last off, this restaurant is so hidden i was almost lost while looking for it.
Little Tokyo in Makati.

I really believe in the Secret. I was channeling this resto for months than i can imagine. Since the only person i know who would join me and be really patient while i search high n low for this secret cove is my darling hubby and since we really do not go to Makati, we had the right excuse to be there. I was getting my pasalubong from Dubai. So off to Makati we go.

I knew it was near Makati Cinema Square. On what side i dont know. We walked besides SanLo, there was a different Japanese resto. We tried to walk across Mile Long, there we found Little Tokyo but wait, its still close. We went back after we had a dose of Ukay adventure.

Around 6pm, i followed a lady who went inside an iskinita and found cluster of restaurant, i was now confused on where to go. My first stop was the familiar Takoyaki Balls, 6 for 100. They are the mother versions of those sold in the mall. Yummy too. Then we followed where most people go to

We ate here.
Ordered the never ending, California Maki. YUMMY!
30 pesos per stick of there Yakitori.
This tastes like Nilasing na Tempura. Sarap.

Overall, there are a lot of Japanese eating in this place you would feel like a tourist or somehow incognito. The price was resaonable, 1k for two people. The difference of Little Tokyo to Misato is this one taste so authentic.

I really want to go to Japan and taste all there food except maybe for Ramen, buy Hello Kitty stuff, Astroboy apparel and be in Harajuku. Bow.

Childhood favorite

I clearly remember my mom bringing me to Makati Supermarket and ordering spaghetti for me. Its a comfort to know that i could always relive that memory. The supermarket in Makati is gone but its still alive and kickin in ATC. So Yehey! for living in the South.

Just looking at it makes me want some more. Its sweet and tangy and cheesy, not your ketchup laden spag. I could finish one order in 5 minutes. Of course i need to chew the food. For those who havent try it...please do. For sure, its a classic.

War of the Maki

I am such a maki fan. It started with California Maki since thats the most friendly looking one. hahaha, is there such a thing? Anyway, now im hooked with Omakase's Jurassic Maki. Everytime im there that's a constant order. While walking in Southmall i passed by Rai Rai Ken. I havent been to the latter and was curious if their maki would be at par with Omakase's. So one day, Hanz and I had merienda in Rai Rai Ken and realized that its a Ramen House. Again, my first time. We ordered Ramen and tried there Miso, Gyudon and their Jurassic Maki. We did that to make sure we could compare the taste from Omakase to Teriyaki Boy and Tokyo Tokyo hehehe.

Before i start, let me first introduce the Jurassic Maki so you know why im making a big fuzz out of it. It has : ebi tempura, kani, ebiko, salmon skin and unagi. Price wise its around 250php for both resto.

Omakase's Jurassic Maki served with Garlic Mayo and that soy perhaps. I dont know whats with the dip but its so sinful. This has a thicker unagi serving. Crunchy and very tasty.

Rai Rai Ken's Jurassic Maki, served with Wasabi mayo dip. Whilst this one has a longer unagi. I cant eat it whole in one go so i need to eat the top portion first. Which left me in thinking that the serving is larger.

The verdict: Im a very loyal customer, so its still Omakase's Jurassic Maki but if at anytime i would crave for it and its inconvenient to go to Alabang, then ill settle for Rai Rai Ken.

I am so grateful for the gift of time and family for this week. I was allowed to go on VL last friday and i bought Roo to the doctor.

Last saturday i visited the wake of my kada's mom Chelo with Jill. Mama Pilar we will surely miss you. Jill, Hanz and I had dinner at Amici. We were in a rush to eat we forgot to take a picture of our food. I ordered Futti de Mare ( pizza seafood), Pasta veggie with meat and gelato. Yum! We went Ukay at Makati Cinema Square. Its a good thing they accomodated us even if they will be closing in an hour. Will post stuff i bought once i wear them. Jill got me 3 black pants. Cool! I seldom buy pants in Ukay because i find it so difficult to find a size.

My Ukay finder, Jill.

This is for you Mama Pilar.

Hanz and I went to Divi to buy Roo's give away. Unfortunately, the whole building of toy stuff is closed. Bummer! Plus it Rained! We just bought DVD and some stuff. Sheesh.

HSBC FAMILY DAY

I was suppose to bring the whole family, from Rap to Roo but i dont have a car so it was me and Hanz who graced the occasion. We arrived around 4pm had our picture taken from the Fotoloco booth, will post that pix later once i get it scanned. I swear i dont know where to look in those booth. After getting my free hotdog and ice cream...shoots! i forgot to get my free cottoncandy which i was saving for last, Hanz and i completed the Bingo card where you can cross out all the activities you did. Hanz and i went to the site tour, we got our face painted, Hanz wall climed while i arm wrestled with a thin lady who has the strongest arm. Hanz won the memory game and i won the hit a can. I let Hanz wet the executive because i dont want to hinder my career development. hahaha. There were so many activites like Lou Hilario's magic trick but we decided to go home before the fireworks and Parokya ni Edgar.

We had dinner at Bahay Ligaya in White Plains. I was only there once and i promised myself ill bring my mom, Hanz and Jogie there. At least im now down to two people. We had Crispy Pata and Papaitan. Yum!

We were so tired we slept on the bus. We woke up and it was time to go down. It was fun and tiring but i really enjoyed every moment with my man.

Food Galore

Do you know the yahoo game Diner Dash? Its the game where Flo, who is the player, opens a restaurant and makes sure that all the customers are well taken care of. It seems easy at first but I hate it!!! It is a stress inducer for me, hahahaha. Im so pikon. Im stuck at Level 2-10.

Speaking of Diner Dash and restaurants. Just want to share my food tripping with Hanzy.

Last Father's Day, we went to ATC to have merienda. We ordered Halo halo, Dinuguan and Pancit Luglog at Razon's.
The best Halo-Halo, since i dont know how to halo the halo i like the way the ice melts and turns into milk. Their Dinuguan is soo yummy, you can taste the tanginess of the vinegar which i love.
The cake was from Hungrypac for only 32php. I love the richness and simplicity of the cake.

This afternoon, after the tremendous downpour, we decided to flee BF Ruins and head to Conti's. I had Fish and Chips or should i say Fish and Fries, i dont know what happened to the chips.
The fish was so juicy and tasty, you can even taste the calamansi.
Hanz ordered Pasta Linguine sauteed in Olive oil and Basil.
For Dessert, our old time favorite, Apple Pie Ala Monde, i sooo love the vanilla ice cream on top and the texture of the pie. The apple filling and the crust is so divine. I would like to believe that im eating in The Pie Hole from Pushing Daisies.
I was so intrigued by the dark moist chocolate cake and i ordered a slice
when i tasted it, it didnt disappoint. The cake was moist and the chocolate on top was warm, its as if its melting in your mouth. I let Hanz taste it and after he had 2 forkfull of the cake, i ate it like a madman. The name Chocolate Moist Cake speaks for itself.

It raining hard outside as i write this blog. Tomorrow, Hanz will make Champorado and Tuyo for breakfast. Chocolate is everywhere!!!!
