On a weekend.

My childhood friend Lhen arrived from Dubai to attend her sister's wedding. I was so happy to see her even for 30 mins, coz she was so everywhere.

View from her window. The Manila Bay. Ganda.

While being lost in Grand Boulevard, i decided to take this shot. This reminds me black can be so slimming. About Grand Boulevard, its not so grand now unlike before. Boohoo.

Hanz and i decided to go to Robinson's Place and meet up with Gerith, from her US trip. Woohoo. Lotion from Geth and Old Navy gold gladiator sandals from Lany. PX goods i like!

This is the view of the new wing from the top.

There's this store where you can choose your own stuff toy, stuff it and accessorise it. You can even put scents and buttons for talking inside.

I was so determine to let Hanz taste the Famous Chicken BBQ of Aristocrat. We ate at their Robinson's branch. Dont you just love the color of their pancit. It taste even better.

And a picture for posterity in my Alma Mater.

Another visit to Maynila
Had a visit to one of my happy place in the metro, Divisoria. Here is my swag.
L-R: Red patent quilted generic bag (250.00php), Polka dotted canvas Lacoste bag (450.00php), Hot pink and black Shemah scarf (150.00php), 2 packs of tablea de cacao sweetened and unsweetened (130.00php), leather multicolored belt ( inspired by lego but Hanz says Tetris, 75php), Shades (150.00php), Hopia combi ube and quezo (42.00php) and Sandals (75.00php)

Not included in the picture are: Hanz's canvas wrist bag (150.00php) and a violet and black Shemah for my mom.

The next visit would be for a long time again. December maybe in time for Christmas.

We ate at Eng Bee Tin in Ongpin and this is what we had.
Hanz ordered Chicken mami and i got Beef Brisket. We ordered shrimp and pork combi dimsum and Coke Zero. I am really not a Coke fan.

After dinner we went to Resurrection to buy Cacao. Just being there and smelling the area is sooo Willy Wonka-ish. It rained so hard that we improvised these plastic bags as hats. Its so Muchos Grasas fashion! hahaha.

And since the main reason why i went to Maynila is to meet Gerith to give her my padala for Lany, we waited for her in Malate.
We stayed at Starbucks and while waiting i did this.
And this.
And this.
And i forgot to take a picture of Gerith.
Malate will always and forever be my bohemian home. I love it. It can never be dugyot for me, even if there was Muziklaban at the Circle.

I studied in a place called Malate which was derived from the term Maalat, salty. It didnt occur to me that there would be so many things i would miss about it. I miss Alda's, the quant authentic Italian resto at Pedro Gil. I miss Bay Walk and the mass of people flocking it just to get a drink or spend free view of the glorious Manila Bay Sunset. All of it gone. Alda's close down and Bay Walk was removed by the new Mayor. There is also word that the magnificent fountain at Rajah Sulayman will close too. I dont know. If there is nothing wrong, i suggest dont touch it at all.

I attended the wedding of Tamy at Malate Church and it brings back memories. That was the church where i had my Holy Communion and Confirmation. When i was a child i felt it was so huge, now it feels like home. I miss it so much its as if i know it like the back of my hands. Which i do.
