This is not a late reaction on the event that transpired last Saturday on Wowowee. It was a shock for everybody and i dont think media, who started all of this is helping at all.

When i was 17 years old, I watched a Barry Manilow concert at Ultra and it was chaotic. I was expecting that the security in Ultra learned and found a way to deal with this issue but they really waited for something tragic like this to happen.

It was an eye opener for me to know that 90% of the Filipino living in the Philippines are poor. Maybe, what happened was just an image of the society we are in.

So was it media harping on the poor and using money as bait, or they just wanted to entertain and give hope (false hopes)?

Is it the government, plaguing the people with taxes and eventually lead to their hungry pockets?

Or the poor, who constantly asks for fish but doesn't have the strenght to get fish?

Or is it US, the middle class people, who lives in our comfort zone. As long as the world around us turn and the people we love are safe, its ok.

Here is my prayer:

Forgive us o Lord for constantly thinking of ourselves.
Forgive us for pointing fingers to others and not realizing that CHANGE should come from us.
Keep the souls of the faithful in your kingdom and shower the sick, jailed, oppress and dying of your mercy and divine light.

In you presence O Lord, we are strong.
