The wedding is over. Let me give you some personal overview with my wedding preparations.

1 day before the wedding:
Tried to catch some sleep but i cant. My mom and brother was telling me because im excited, im not. I was becoming the worrywart which im not. I was thinking of what to do and strategize on things that might happen. I was having mood swings again and was keeping Hanz irritated because i dont want to keep my irritation alone. Met Cathy and the rest of my volunteered friends/organizers as early as 9am for breakfast together at Mcdo. Got the remaining fortune cookies from Brian who is also our choir head.

Imagine, that was the 1st and the last meeting i had with my wedding coordinator and choir. I realized i was so blessed having good friends with all the networks.

Early evening i realized there were no table names or number. I dont have my printer at home so i called Hanz to print the names mostly Chinese horoscope in line with the wedding theme. So when the wedding day came my emcee's where calling the guests seated "people from the Pig table" instead of Year of the Pig. Hay! At least it was a good punchline.

On the day:
Need to wake up at 0700H to prepare and go to Hyatt for early check-in. I was so darn tired and of course was catching some sleep because i wasnt able to get some the other night. My mom woke me up 5 times and my bestfriend/Maid of Honor called me up to tell me she's ready to pick me up at 0730H. I was not rushing at all. I washed my face and brushed my teeth.

Tans, fetched me at 0730H on the dot. I went to Elna to pick up my gown. Elna was so shocked that i was the only bride she had that got the dress on the day, even if it was finished a week ago. It was a gloomy day. The clouds were everywhere and there was constant rain showers.

While on the way to Hyatt, we dropped by Starbucks Macapagal. At para talagang hindi excited. I was hungry but couldnt eat much.

0900H check in at Hyatt. Was suppose to have 2 rooms Embassy side kingsize beds but there was none.Grrr talaga. Instead of getting pissed off i settled for 1 Embassy side twin beds and 1 Baclaran side king bed which i gave to Hanz.

Took a bath, suppliers arrived, make-up session, pictorial, a little bite from the food. I think all i had was Mcdo fries which was from Joan.

We were running late. Mainly because my mom, the wedding planner went to the reception area to troubleshoot and oversee the set up and in just 30 mins got her face and hair done. Mental note, if you have enough funds for the wedding hire a planner because you cant entrust everything to those who are part of your entourage.

We left the hotel, the downpour stopped but there were puddles everywhere. Called my coordinators they were so calm. The ceremony was suppose to start at 1600H my bridal car and my mom arrived at the church at 1610. Imagine, own wedding late! Tans, wasnt able to walk down the aisle because the valet was so slow.

While Walking down the aisle
They say when you walk down the aisle everything will be blurry. When i did my walk all i could think about was reaching the altar and not to fall on my feet. I thought we got a small church but when your walking and carrying the heavy bouquet i felt it was a long way to the altar and the butterflies where all flying and the faces smiling. It was a good feeling reaching my hand to Hanzel and going to the steps.

After the ceremony, picture taking to the max. Then at least when we needed to go out of the church Hanzel was holding my hand. We decided to drop the dove and got balloons instead to lift all our wishes and dreams. We released the balloons outside the church.

Reception was fun. It rained hard again. Good thing the guests were following our bridal car, i could eat early. I was hungry. Hanz was hungry. We had fun. I wasnt able to eat again. I enjoyed the guests reaction to the quartet, food, games and our two AVPs. Pictures can be viewed at this link wedding photos

After the wedding
Hanz and i slept the whole time. We were so wasted that when we reached the hotel we drop dead tired and woke up for breakfast. I was still in make up good thing i took off my gown. Bad skin regimen! We went to Mall of Asia in the afternoon after check out.

We had our honeymoon at Bohol and visited Cebu. We had fun. I would like to think that Bohol was the virgin version of Boracay. Unspoiled. Very back to nature.

Ill have a diferent entry about that honeymoon.

For now, im still enjoying sleeping with Hanzel, waking up with him beside me. Holding his hand before i sleep and holding something else when i wake up. Like my bridal walk im enjoying every minute of it but this time im not in a rush to reach the end. The journey is still begining and im glad were into this together.
