Swimwear hunting

Its summer and its time to hit the pool and the beach.

Tans and I went to Paseo in Sta Rosa to scout for her swimwear. To my surprise i caught myself trying on bathing suits too. Speedo has an outlet store there and the people from all walks of life are really flocking the place. I bought an Endurance red one piece for 1100php and a magenta shorts.

There was also Dupe sold or 40% in the other store and i bought one. Hopefully it would also be as sturdy as my Havaianas.

All flip flops has a store there too but they only have highs for women, im a flats kinda girl.

I cant wait to wear my new new bathing suit. Confidence is the key.

Summer is.....

spending time in the beach under the coconut tree with a good book and listening to No Doubt.

Spending time with friends

attending parties and dressing up

eating out and catching up with lost time
and most especially spending time with the little ones who would soon grow up and have their own summers to spend.

My 1st ever Havaianas and other Sole related Products.

Pronounced as ah-vai-yah-nas, which is Portuguese for Hawaiians.

I know i know. This is too juvenile but i just want to say that after 4 years since this tsinelas
(what my ofcmates say when i ask why are they wearing tsinelas to work: excuse me this is not tsinelas, this is Havaianas) was launched in our tropical island i bought my own pair.

Aint it cute? I was looking for the 2006 edition, if you could remember the Jungle theme but its not sold anymore. What made me buy one? First, i got it in a cheaper price, 651.00php only. Second, oh there is no second. Just for the price. I even bought one for my mom and for my brother. So technically, i paid mahal din. Hanz was not interested so i didn't get him any and Roo has his little Dupe which is way cuter and cheaper compared to the little Havaies being sold.

So now, i have a new foot wear to make laspag. Bad bad me, i wore them to church twice already.

-------------------------------------

I love my Happy feet sandals but my white one is so old and the sole is chapped already i decided to donate it. I asked HF how much would be the cost if i get it repaired, its around 800php. Well, better buy a new one instead. They have this new style which has a built in massager which looks like the tip of the Mongol eraser, its so comfy when you wear it but aesthetically it looks weird. Hey! I like weird stuff that's why im contemplating whether or not to get it not.

I bought a Wade flats in silver with a Fleur-De-Liz buckle. It reminds me of the Tory Burch sandals. Its so comfy. Sana it would last long. I decided NOT to buy any Crocs sandals anymore, since it was my 2007 statement.

This coming year my statement would be...As simple as possible. Back to basics. So hopefully, i could achieve it.

Weepee...im going to ride an airplane again and im going to Mindanao!!!!

I have this thing about visiting all the glorious and far flung places in the Philippines and Davao is one of them. This time im travelling with my high school buddies. Planning this trip through email is not a big effort at all, since everything is electronic, the ticket, the information. Saya!

I was a little melancholy before the trip coz we had a delayed flight so i had to spend more time in the Domestic Airport. Coming back and seeing it through the eyes of a traveller and not a Ground Staff flashes back memories of the olden days, naks!

So after an hour of delay, a back to ramp scenario and 1hour 45mins of cruising the sky, We arrived at Davao International Airport.

(L-R: Lany, Gerith, Me, Shohun, Mac)

The best things i would recall about this trip would be:

Pearl Farm, simply world class.

Welcoming the unwelcome. We passed through the back door of Paradise Resort as well as Pearl Farm. When every visitor arrive by pamboat (pumpboat) we arrived either by tricycle (tricycad) or jeep.

Samal in land tour, if you want to experience the hair frizz and oily face, try to hire a jeep and visit the one of a kind places in Samal island.

They are real live bats....

Seafood galore, Sinugba (inihaw), Lato(seaweeds) salad, Kinilawna Tuna (heaven!) and Durian everywhere. I tried the Durian coffee, Yummy!

Longtime catching up talks with friends which is priceless.
Aldevinco, batik and pearls

More pictures to view

My Davao trip theme songs are:
(c/o Mac's ipod)
Way back into Love - from the Music and Lyrics OST
Last Request - Paolo Nutini

Cant wait to go back in December, now with my hunnybunny.

Summer is almost over, its a good thing my friend Chinggay invited me and my family to stay in their place at Subic.

Day 1:

Go to the boardwalk and have your picture taken.

Visit the lighthouse.

Go Kayaking in the afternoon at the Camayan Beach Resort

Drop be to say Hi to the monkeys.

The big one on the left, that's the one who scratched me.

We were suppose to hang out at Pier 1 after dinner but i was so exhausted.

Day 2:

It was raining when i woke up. Good thing it stopped because were on our way to Slide for Life. When we were there the place was unavailable because they are conducting a leaderdship seminar for a company.
So we dropped the kids first at Blockpia, a place were all kinds of lego's are there, and Hanz cant get his hands off them. Hanz with Rap and their lego's.

Then Banana boat ride we go!!!! For 250phph per head for 15 mins, sure that 15 mins was long enough. I was thrown out twice while my husband managed to stay on the boat while the rest were in the water. I like the part that we were dragged from the water to the boat like seals. Wet, heavy and eager to be pulled up again.

Then we dried ( as in dried fish, at 12 noon) ourselves at the Go Kart Station. They all said i drive like a lola, i said thats leisure driving for me. That's me with the white shirt.

In the afternoon we went to have a dip at the Subic Yatch Club. It feels like we own the place, no ones around. Sarap!

Goofing around with my brother.

And aside from the full accomodation, Chinggay treated us for a Spa at The Ritz.

I like there ceiling.

Day 3

Rain greeted us again and were off to the Slide for Life adventure. Bummer! When we arrived the place was close, since they needed to mend something from the bridge. So we decided to go to Zoobic instead.

And since its a rainforest were in, the rain was so unpredictable.

We rode the tiger feeding jeepney and yes, its scary. The tigers were so strong and Khrisna the tiger, even went on top of the jeep so we can feel the paw steps as she move. The guide said that tigers are aggressive when its raining coz they tend to me a little lazy when its hot.

Feeding time!

This is what i find amuzing. The ostriches look like dressed chickens because its mating season!

All in all the vacation was superb. We had fun, commuting from the bus terminal wasnt so bad after all. I slept the longest i had for months and i got to catch up with kwneto's from Ching. If Roo had fun, we had fun too. Thanks to Chinggay, Carl, Chad, Miggy and the yaya's. See you soon.

Every morning when i wake up i feel my shirt damp with sweat. I check if the fan is working and Yes its even in number 3. I look out the window hoping that the sun could hide behind fluffy clouds but NO! its sits alone in the bright sky. Ang inet!!!!!

Summer na! I wish i am at the beach. Lying under the nipa cottage waiting until 4pm until i could get a massage from the Manang's by the shore. I cant wait! I am in dire need to go to the beach, please bring me to one.

While its so hot outside, i went to the mall to buy my summer sunnies.

1. This is the Spiderman sunnies. If you check it closer its likes Spideys' eyes.
2. This is not the same as number 1. Totally different. I asked for a new stock and im ready to pay but i saw this.
3. . SO i got it and paid for it. Im now hahahappy.

Aside from sunnies hunting, i watched PBB last night and various questions popped in my head. Would being inside the Big Brother house change your perspective on things? Like love perhaps. This is the episode Bruce left for Slovenia and Wendy was crying her eyes out. If it really love? Can we be that dependent to a person in a short period of time (2 months)? Was it all for show? But the weird thing here is that i see myself being concern. Concern in a way that i wonder, what if that happened to me? Because Wendy has a boyfriend out of the house and she said every morning when she wakes up she's eager to know what would happen to her day with Bruce there, now that his gone. Ay Caramba! Im such a reality tv suckeroo. I dont want to deal with it anymore. hehehe

Want to share this new pix of Roo and I.
